Silicone medical products production process
1.Material selection and formula development
Based on the purpose and requirements of the product, select suitable silicone materials and develop formulas to ensure that silicone products have good biocompatibility, mechanical properties and chemical stability.
2. Mold design and manufacturing
After a deep understanding of customer needs, our engineering team will design the mold to ensure the dimensional accuracy and production efficiency of the product. Then the mold is manufactured through technologies such as CNC machining or EDM to meet the needs of high-precision production.
3. Silicone molding process
Depending on the complexity of the product and the requirements for mass production, select the appropriate molding process, such as liquid injection molding (LIM), compression molding, transfer molding or extrusion molding. During the molding process, silicone is formed into the desired shape and structure by heating and pressurizing.
4. Post-processing and surface treatment
After molding, products usually need post-processing, such as removing flash, polishing, surface coating or gluing, etc., to improve the functionality and appearance quality of the product. At the same time, some products also need secondary vulcanization to improve their performance and stability.
5. Quality Control and Testing
Throughout the production process, we implement strict quality control measures to ensure that each product meets the high standards of the medical industry. Through a variety of testing methods such as sterility testing, biocompatibility testing, dimensional testing, and mechanical performance testing, the safety and reliability of the final product are guaranteed.
6. Packaging and Delivery
In order to ensure the safety of the product during transportation and storage, we use a clean packaging solution that meets medical industry standards. After the product passes the final inspection, it will be packaged and delivered according to customer requirements.
