What Is an Automotive Connector Silicone Seal?

An automotive connector silicone seal is a custom-molded silicone rubber component used to protect electrical connectors from water, dust, vibration, temperature changes and environmental aging.

It can be designed as a separate silicone gasket, wire seal, sealing ring, grommet or as an integrated LSR overmolded layer bonded with plastic, metal or other insert materials.
